Rob Mesirow, Special Advisor
Rob
Mesirow is Special Advisor of Latino Movil and manages all relationships with
the wireless community on behalf of our company. Rob is a leader in the
wireless industry and brings an unparalleled understanding of the
commercial and regulatory aspects of our business. Rob comes to Latino
Movil as the Senior Vice President of CTIA, the world's largest wireless
association. At CTIA, Rob is responsible for the strategic planning,
development and oversight of the Associations award-winning trade events
and all related activities. Its premier event, run by Rob, CTIA WIRELESS®,
is the largest wireless event in the world. Rob also oversees CTIA's
Certification, Membership, and Technology programs which include
industry interoperability initiatives, Common Short Code registration
services and all business development activity. Prior to joining CTIA,
Mesirow was Director of Strategic Planning for the Personal
Communications Association (PCIA). Rob was named one of the Top 25
Association Executives of 2004 by TradeShow Week. Rob resides in
Virginia with his wife Lisa and their daughter Joey.
Jose Rodriguez, Director
Jose
Rodriguez is a Director of Latino Movil and is responsible for all
aspects of marketing and advertising our content to potential
subscribers. Jose is the Co-Founder of ComunicAD, and is a seasoned
multicultural marketing professional with over a decade of consulting
experience for corporate, government and prominent non-profit clients. A
nationally recognized expert in PR, Jose is known for his passion,
dedication and results focused approach to business. Over the years he
has developed close working relationships with members of the media,
national influencers, decision makers, leading politicians and
celebrities and has utilized this access to help elevate the advancement
of Latino and multicultural issues in Government, and Corporate America.
His exceptional visionary and leadership skills have led him to build
strategic coalitions to advocate on behalf of Hispanics, children and
families in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Latin America. Jose has worked
primarily with the private sector in developing campaigns and programs
directed to the U.S. Hispanic market that make the business case for
philanthropic/corporate social responsibility activity both in the U.S.
and globally. Some of these most recent initiatives include:
- Ford Motor Company: The creation of 4 international art exhibits
targeting Latinos through the arts.
- Verizon (formerly as NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and GTE): Issues
management, multicultural outreach/coalition building and public
relations for broadband parity and entry into the US long distance
market.
- MBNA: Grassroots outreach and public policy efforts to build
support for status of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Freddie Mac: The development of a leading multicultural /
bilingual outreach and education campaign aimed at dispelling myths
of homeownership.
- AARP: Hispanic agency of record for public / media relations.
Development of community health related initiatives related to
prescription medication and Medicare.
- Univision: Community outreach / education for “Salud Es Vida,
Enterate”. A national health awareness campaign developed for
Univision. Public relations, corporate social responsibility, media
relations and overall entrance strategy for the company to the
Puerto Rico market.
- PepsiCo: Community and media relations outreach to Hispanics and
African Americans about PepsiCo's new line of Healthy products in
conjunction with promotion of joint educational campaign with
America on the Move, National Council of La Raza and National Urban
League on the importance of wellness and healthier lifestyles.
Jose is also a Founding Board member of the Hispanic Technology and
Telecommunications Partnership - a coalition of 18 national Hispanic
Organizations focused on technology issues and their effects on the
Latino and ethnic communities. Mr. Rodriguez resides in Virginia with
his wife Connie and daughter Paola.
Brian
Alperstein, Director
Brian Alperstein is also a Director of Latino Movil and its corporate
counsel. Brian is the managing partner of the international corporate
group of the law firm Lasa, Monroig and Veve, LLP. Mr. Alperstein
specializes in solving problems that deal with international business
transactions and business and corporate law. His practice is primarily
focused negotiating complex corporate transactions in the United States,
Latin America and Europe. He represents both public and private
companies and has specialized in representing start up and venture
funded companies in fast growth industries. Mr. Alperstein has
experience as a general counsel to fast growing companies with
responsibility for managing inside and outside legal resources. He has
negotiated and drafted numerous in bound and outbound software license
and development agreements, cross border acquisitions and distribution
relationships and other corporate agreements. He has represented clients
on the development, structuring, financing and expansion of projects
both internationally and in the United States. He has worked on multiple
transactions in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle
East. Brian resides in Virginia and Lima, Peru with his wife, Wendy and
their daughter Ariela. |
